CONTROL ROOM - THANKYOU!
Thanks for posting, your support was amazing and when the performers read it they will know they did an excellent job!
Congratulations to everyone involved! Although I have found the experience of watching unsettling at times it has also been hypnotic and it feels really strange now that is has finished, as if something is missing. The artwork looks wonderful and it was intiguing to see how it had developed since I last viewed it several hours ago. Hope you all have a restful day.
CONTROL ROOM

Morning Madness with Vexations
Has everyone gone to bed? Has Vexations put you into a yogic trance? Let us know - tell us where you are watching from...
Had a few beers, with it on nonstop, went to the pub, went home with it ringing in my ears, tried to take a nap, found i was too disturbed and in any case would probably oversleep! I'm on in two hours and it's definitely going to be the most surreal performance of my life...Huge respect to the dancers though, I'm amazed at their resilience.Socrates x

OK, so I came expecting to stay 30 mins - three hours later off to sleep while this continues through the night. Thank you Cathy Child and all the dancers - you caught me. I probably groaned when first suggested - how wrong was that. Caught too by the varied response of the pianists to the piece and with the quiet creation of the artwork. thanks everyone and especially to those technical guys who made this possible.

How very vexing!! Vexations at Chi Uni is in full flow. Many of us have played and many to go. At least eighteen hours of Satie's work - Was he a genius or just a berk? I'm hanging around now by the curtain, Waiting to play and feeling uncertain. Should I go out now or should I wait? I mustn't be early but mustn't be late! I'm out there now on the Steinway B The lights are on and the camera's on me. The stool's too high and I'm feeling quite hot. Have I played line 2 or 4 ...or what? I think I'm on my 18th repeat But it could be 19 - am I a cheat? Out of the corner of my eye The counter looms - it does not lie - We hope it doesn't anyway. Some have played 25 repeats I've heard them say! I'm following the arrows now out of the room And am back in the safety of the interview room. So here's to Vexations - Satie's little jest Good luck to all our pianists - You're the best!! Susan
This is really impressive, seeing the Vexations project at Chi finally happen. Congratulations to those who have been working on putting it together (particularly Jonathan and Paul). Have been watching in and out since three, and have seen every pianist so far and you're doing fab! My seven year old daughter has really enjoyed watching bits as well! Hope the dancers aren't too knackered at the end - some really interesting work by them. Well done all!
